Encapsulated and assessed "Authentic" by SGC. Hall of Famer. Here's a visually engaging 1967 Topps Mickey Mantle card that sees the slugger's portrayal shared, in part, with a small portion of the year's tribute to fellow 500 HR Club member and Cooperstown enshrinee Ed Mathews. The circumstances that led to this conspicuously miscut item's emergence from the factory, somehow eluding all of the quality control measures installed to prevent exactly that circumstance, will forever remain unknown. But they're fascinating to contemplate! A bona fide rarity – quite likely a one-of-a-kind survivor – projecting a bizarre but oddly charming manner of presentation.
