Although Reggie Jackson was the self-proclaimed “Straw that stirred the drink”, Thurman Munson was the heart and soul of those late 1970s New York Yankees World Series Championship teams. Named the first Yankee caption since Lou Gehrig, Munson tragically died in a 1979 plane crash. This OAL MacPhail baseball has a very bold “Thurman Munson” black felt tip signature (“9”) perfectly placed across the sweet spot. The ball exhibits some toning, including the sweet spot, forming a perfect canvas behind the art for Munson’s brush. Full LOA15from PSA/DNA.
