Down a set and trailing the second 4-1, Victoria Azarenka rallied to break Serena Williams twice and ultimately win the tiebreaker to force a decisive third set in the 2013 women’s singles U.S Open Finals. Williams, the more dominant player in the match, took advantage of the energy used by Azarenka to mount a comeback and easily put away the Belarusian in the final set for a 7-5, 6-7 (6), 6-1 victory on Sept. 8, 2013. It was Williams’ fifth U.S. Open singles title and 17th overall Grand Slam championship. This Wilson match used tennis ball from the 2013 women’s singles U.S. Open Final shows heavy signs of use, including a series of racket string markings. One side of the ball features a red “US OPEN ‘13” logo while the opposite side has a red “WILSON” manufacturer’s logo with “US OPEN” in black below. The match used ball comes with an LOA from the U.S. Open Match-Used Authentication Program and boasts a USTA holographic sticker, number “USTA13416.”
