Erick Dampier made a name for himself during his 16-year NBA career as a force on the glass. The 6-foot-11 center finished in top-10 in offensive rebounds five times between the 1997-98 and 2005-06 seasons, leading the league in 2003-04. This white game used Dallas home jersey comes from a 2004-05 campaign that saw Dampier average 9.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the 58-24 Mavericks. The front tail of the jersey features a stitched “Reebok” manufacturer’s tag with three affixed labels that read “54,” “2004-2005” and “LENGTH +4,” indicating the jersey’s size, year and modifications. Below the manufacturer’s tag is a stitched Mei Gray Group tag that reads “Game-Worn Jersey 2004-2005” with inventory number “A012.” The Mavericks wore the white Set 1 jerseys for 12 games in 2004-05 (Nov. 2, 3, 6, 8, 16, 22, 26, 30, Dec. 4, 6, 9 and 14), according to an LOA signed Mavericks president Terdema Ussery. “DALLAS” appears across the chest in navy blue-on-silver tackle twill with “DAMPIER” across the back in navy blue tackle twill. Dampier’s number “25” appears on both sides in electric blue-on-silver tackle twill. The jersey shows light evidence of game use and comes with the aforementioned LOA from the Dallas Mavericks.
