After signing an eight figure contract without even playing a game in the United States, even the great Yasiel Puig need to work his way up through the Los Angeles Dodgers minor league system. In 2013, Puig started at Double A, toiling the outfield for the Chattanooga Lookouts in the Southern League. Puig wore this jersey early in the season on April 2, when the Lookouts played an exhibition game against Chattanooga State. The blue alternate, button-down jersey has “Lookouts” scripted across the front with full seraph, and the red number “16” on the left side. This motif is similar to the actual Dodger jerseys. The lower front tail has the “RUSSELL ATHLETIC XL” manufacturers size tag, the left shoulder has the Lookout mascot while the right shoulder has the “LA” patch. The Reverse features “PUIG” across the back with his number “16” below. The jersey comes with an LOA form the Chattanooga Lookouts indicating this jersey was worn by the young Cuban superstar on that specific date for that game.
