Rookie cards. Hall of Famers. Clearly the marquee card in the 1981 Topps football release is the Joe Montana rookie card. However, the set contains several other NFL Hall of Famers and tier rookie cards such as Art Monk, Kellen Winslow, #1 draft pick Billy Sims, Dan Hampton, and Montana’s teammate Dwight Clark. Montana is still considered one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. For the first time ever, Topps used its logo on the front of a football card. Offered here is the near-complete set of 520 of the 528 cards issued by Topps in 1981.
