Presented is a 288-card 1984-85 Star Basketball complete set. With Topps leaving the market after 1981-82, Star had the only NBA cards available between 1982 and 1986. Their second major release in 1984-85 would come at a perfect time as the NBA was just starting to gain popularity world-wide. These colorful cards were issued as team sets, in sealed plastic polybags. It is believed that Star Company only printed between 3,000 and 6,000 of each team set. This scarce offering includes all the superstars of the day as well as an incredible rookie crop including Isiah Thomas, Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Akeem Olajuwon and the true rookie card of Michael Jordan.
