Graded EX 5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Shown here in the twilight of his career, a battle-worn Mickey Mantle waits for a pitch with the same intensity he did in the previous 16 seasons. His position is listed as first base, a move the Yankees made in the previous year due to Mantle’s knees no longer able to handle the running required by the outfield. His heart was always willing, but his body was in constant protest. An amazing collectible and reminder of the toughness and perseverance of an athlete who captured the hearts of millions of baseball fans, and who will always be known as one of the greatest Yankees to ever play the game. Excellent condition.
