Presented here is an extraordinary collection of 27 batting gloves used by the Los Angeles Angels superstar centerfielder Mike Trout from 2010, his second year in professional baseball, through the 2018 season. Trout began his Major League career with a 40-game cameo during the 2011 season before winning the American League Rookie of the Year award with his breakout 2012 campaign. Trout hit .326 in 2012, with 30 homers, 83 RBI, and the most runs and stolen bases in all of baseball. Trout finished second in the American League MVP race in both 2012 and 2013 before winning the award for the first time in 2014. The New Jersey native won his second AL MVP in 2016, cementing his status as the consensus best player in baseball. Through the 2018 season, Trout holds a .307 career batting average with 240 homers, 224 doubles, and 1,187 hits in only 1,065 career games.

These 27 batting gloves include 12 pairs and three individual gloves, all of which have been signed by Trout. The first batting glove in this lot, a red and white Franklin right-hand glove, was used in 2010. Trout has signed this glove in blue marker. There are two pairs of Nike Diamond Elite batting gloves from the 2011 season, both of which have been signed by Trout in blue marker that exhibits noticeable bleeding. One pair of red and white Nike Diamond Elite gloves from the 2012 season are included in this lot. Trout has signed these gloves in blue marker, inscribing “12 GU” on each glove. There is one pair of gloves from the 2013 season, also a pair of red and white Nike Diamond Elites. Trout has signed both gloves in black marker and inscribed “13 G/U” on each glove. Please note that a small rip is present above the thumb on the right glove. The next gloves are a pair of red and gray Nike MVP Elite Pro gloves worn by Trout in 2014. He has signed each glove in black marker with the inscription “14 G/U”. One pair of gloves, a digi-camo patterned pair of red and white Nike Vapor Hyperfuse gloves, was worn by Trout in 2015. He has signed the underside of the wrist in black marker, inscribing “15 G/U” on both gloves.

From the 2016 season, three pairs of gloves and two solo gloves are offered. The first lone glove is a red and gray Nike Hyperfuse left-hand glove signed on the palm by Trout in black marker with a “16 G/U” inscription. The second glove, also for a left hand, is a gray and white Nike glove signed on the palm by Trout in black marker and inscribed “16 G/U”. The 2016 pairs include two pairs of red and gray Nike Trout gloves and a pair of white Nike Trout gloves. Each glove is signed on the palm in black marker and inscribed “16 G/U”. From the 2017 season are two pairs of red, white, and gray Nike gloves. Trout has signed the palm of each glove in black marker with the inscription “17 G/U”. The final pair of gloves in this lot is from the 2018 season. These gloves are primarily gray with white accents. Trout has signed the underside of the wrists in black marker, inscribing “18 G/U” on each glove. Each pair of gloves comes with one LOA from Anderson Authentics. The 2010 Franklin glove comes with a COA from Anderson Authentics, and the remaining single gloves each have an Anderson Authentics LOA.
