Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. After stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland A’s and Milwaukee Brewers, Randolph’s final season in the Majors was spent with his hometown New York Mets in 1992.

Offered here are two game bats used by Willie Randolph during the 1992 season with the New York Mets. The first bat is a dark brown Louisville Slugger S44 model bat that displays solid game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, white leather scuffs and slight checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. Randolph’s number “12” is handwritten on the knob in silver marker. Randolph has signed the barrel in silver marker and inscribed “Game Used”.

The second bat is a light-colored Louisville Slugger S44 model bat that displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, cleat impressions and bat rack streaks present on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel area and Randolph’s number “12” is handwritten in black marker on the knob. Randolph has signed the barrel of this bat in black marker and inscribed “Game Used”. These bats derive from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany these bats.
