Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Following his playing career that ended after the 1992 season, Randolph joined the coaching ranks and re-joined the Yankees in 1994. Randolph spent his eighth season as a coach in 2001 and was one of the coaches during the 2001 All-Star Game.

Offered here are two jerseys worn by Randolph during the 2001 All-Star Game in Seattle. The first jersey is a New York Yankees home pinstriped jersey for the 2001 All-Star Game. This offered Russell Athletic size 46 button-down Yankees’ jersey features the classic interlocking “NY” sewn on the upper left chest in navy tackle twill. The Russell Athletic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail. The back of the jersey has Randolph’s number “30” sewn on in navy tackle twill and the right sleeve features the special metallic gold, red, white and blue American League 100th Anniversary patch, while the left sports the 2001 World Series patch. Randolph has signed his name in silver marker on the top of the “0” on the back.

The second jersey is a dark green mesh button down jersey that has “AMERICAN” sewn on across the chest in white, red and navy tackle twill with the Mariner’s shooting star. White piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The 2001 All-Star Game patch is sewn on the left sleeve while the Yankees’ logo patch is sewn on the right sleeve. The Majestic tag and “46” flag is sewn on the bottom front left tail. The back of the jersey has “RANDOLPH” and “30” sewn on in white tackle twill. Randolph has signed his name in black marker on the top of the “0” and inscribed vertically on the sides of the number “2001 - All-Star Game” and “Workout Jersey”.
