He reached this unique milestone in baseball history in a 5-1 Yankees win over the San Francisco Giants at the new Yankee Stadium, hitting his seventh homer of the 2013 season in the seventh inning off George Kontos to right center, with two outs and the game tied 1-1. A-Rod finished his 22-year career with 25 Grand Slams, followed by Gehrig with 23 and Manny Ramirez with 21.  Rodriguez retired with 696 career home runs, fourth all-time behind Barry Bonds (762), Hank Aaron (755) and Babe Ruth (714).
