Spring 2019 Premium Auction Closing May 11
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/12/2019
Offered in this lot are two game used New York Yankees jerseys. The first jersey in this lot was worn by Brian McCann on August 24th, 2014 during the Yankees 7-4 win over the Chicago White Sox at Yankee Stadium. McCann appeared in this game as a pinch hitter, replacing Francisco Cervelli in the bottom of the tenth inning. With the count full and two outs gone, McCann crushed a Jake Petricka offering for the game-winning three-run home run. This was McCann’s 15th homer of the season, his 191st of his career, and his third walk-off jack. This offered pinstriped, button-down Yankees home jersey has the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo sewn on the chest and McCann’s number “34” sewn on the back, both in navy tackle twill. Piling from catcher’s gear is present on this jersey, and a dirt stain is located on the left chest and sleeve. A Majestic tag with attached size “48” and “2014” flags is sewn on the front left tail. McCann has signed the “4” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker, inscribing “Game Used” below his signature. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 306468), a Yankees-Steiner LOA, and a COA from PSA/DNA (Y59775).
The second jersey in this lot was worn by Jacoby Ellsbury on July 12th, 2015 against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Ellsbury, a Red Sox star from 2007 through 2013, started this game in center and hit leadoff for the Yankees. The Yanks won this game, their final contest before the All-Star break, by a score of 8-6. This gray, button-down Yankees road jersey has “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in navy and white tackle twill. Ellsbury’s number “25” is sewn on the back of the jersey, also in navy and white tackle twill. A Majestic size “44” tag and a Yankees barcode tag are applied to the front left tail. This jersey comes with a LOA from Steiner Sports and a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 914514).
