During a 15-year MLB career, Larsen pitched from 1953 to 1967 for seven different teams but gained his greatest fame as a pitcher for the New York Yankees from 1955 through 1959.  Larsen pitched the sixth perfect game in MLB history, doing so in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series. It is the only no-hitter and perfect game in World Series history and is one of only two no hitters in MLB postseason history (the other Roy Halladay's in 2010). He won the World Series Most Valuable Player Award in recognition of his 1956 postseason. Offered is a lot of two items signed by Don Larsen, a replica New York Yankees jersey and a vintage Spalding baseball glove. The first item in this lot is a Spalding brown leather fielders’ glove.  Larsen has signed his name and inscribed “WS PG 10-8-56” on the fourth finger of the glove in silver marker. This item comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (F33852).

The second item in this lot is a replica of Larsen’s #18 home New York Yankees uniform, labelled at the bottom right front in blue embroidered script, “1956 Don Larsen”.  Larsen has signed his name in blue marker beneath the interlocking “NY” logo embroidered in blue on the left chest, and inscribed “#18 WS PG 10.8.56 1956 W.S. M.V.P.” This item comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (F33851).
