Presented is a lot of two Ken Griffey Jr. game-used and signed items, a Seattle Mariners baseball cap and a pair of batting gloves. The Hall of Famer has signed his name in blue marker on the silver bill of a blue Seattle Mariners cap, with the Mariners “compass” logo embroidered on the front in white, red, silver and teal. The cap has a silver button on top, and the MLB logo embroidered in white, blue and teal on the back. Griffey has signed his name across the knuckles on both navy-blue Nike batting gloves in silver marker. The leather and mesh batting gloves have the number “24” embroidered over the thumbs in white and silver, a blue and gray Nike Swoosh on each index finger, a blue and gray Nike swoosh on the back of the hand, and the word “Nike” embroidered in white  letters on the Velcro strap. The underside of the strap has “24 Junior” embroidered in white and silver. Griffey played 22 years in Major League Baseball and spent most of his career with the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds, along with a short stint with the Chicago White Sox. A member of the Baseball Hall of Fame and a 13-time All-Star, Griffey is one of the most prolific home run hitters in baseball history; his 630 home runs rank as the seventh-most in MLB history. Griffey was also an exceptional defender and won 10 Gold Glove Awards in center field. Both items in this lot are accompanied by COA from Ken Griffey Jr.
