When Parcells became the head coach of the Giants in 1983, he took over a franchise that had qualified for the postseason only once in the past decade and had only one winning record in their last 10 seasons. Parcells brought new success to the team and within four years, guided them to their first Super Bowl win. His tenure with the Giants spanned eight seasons and concluded with a second championship victory in Super Bowl XXV. After the Super Bowl win, Parcells retired as a coach in 1991. Two of his superstars that guided the team to victory were quarterback Phil Simms and linebacker Lawrence Taylor. This lot includes two multi-signed items from the Bill Parcells era with the New York Giants. The first item is a canvas print signed by Parcells, Taylor and Simms. Taylor has signed with “HOF ‘99”, Simms with “S.B. XXI MVP” and Parcells with “SB XXI Champs”. Perfect in every detail and beautifully done with radiant colors and American flag bunting in background with partially covers the Super Bowl trophy. Signed in lower left corner by the artist, Karen O’Neil Ganci, also in blue sharpie and labeled as print # 4/8. Actual print on stretched canvas, measures 27x36”. The lot also includes an official NFL Wilson football signed by both Phil Simms and Lawrence Taylor in silver. Both items come certified by Beckett Authentication.
