Hall of Fame leadoff man Rickey Henderson wore this Mets cap and undershirt during his time with the New York Mets. Henderson played a season and a half with the Mets in 1999 and 2000, putting up a Triple Crown slash of .315/12/42 with 37 stolen basses in 1999. In 2000, Henderson played 31 games with the Mets before joining the Seattle Mariners in May of 2000.

The hat offered in this lot is black, with a blue brim and a MLB logo sewn on the back of the cap. The front of the cap has the Mets blue and orange “NY” logo. MLB Authentic Diamond Collection, New Era, and size “7 ¼” tags are sewn in the sweatband. Henderson’s number “24” is written on the underside of the brim in black marker. Also included in this lot is a black and gray undershirt worn by Henderson. The sleeves and waist have been cut to fit Henderson’s exacting specifications. Henderson’s number “24” is written on the back of the undershirt in black marker. This lot comes with a LOA from game use expert Dave Miedema.
