Offered here is a collection of three Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseballs used and individually signed by members of the New York Mets. The first ball was used on June 10th, 2003 during the Mets 9-7 road loss to the Texas Rangers. Jose Reyes made his MLB debut in this game, finishing 2-4 with a double and two runs scored. Reyes has signed the sweet spot of this ball in blue pen. This ball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (MR 249532) and a Steiner Sports hologram. The second ball was used during the Mets 1-0 win in 13 innings over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Shea Stadium. Pedro Martinez threw eight scoreless innings for the Mets, striking out eight batters in a classic duel with Diamondbacks ace Brandon Webb. The Mets won this game on Endy Chavez’s RBI single off Jason Grimsley in the bottom of the 13th. Martinez has signed the sweet spot of this baseball in blue pen. This ball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB 067565) and a Steiner Sports hologram.

The final baseball in this lot was used during the Mets 6-5 loss to the Miami Marlins on September 15th, 2014 at Citi Field. This was the penultimate start of deGrom’s rookie season, and the rookie hurler turned in a typically strong start. deGrom pitched seven strong innings, striking out 13 Marlins and allowing only three earned runs as he was saddled with the no-decision. This ball was pitched in the top of the fourth inning, with deGrom punching out Marcell Ozuna using this Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball. deGrom has signed the sweet spot of this baseball in blue pen. This baseball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 311730).
