Presented here are three game used and signed items from the Detroit Tigers career of the six-time All-Star first baseman Prince Fielder. The first item in this lot is Fielder’s white Tigers home jersey worn during Game 3 of the 2012 World Series against the San Francisco Giants at Comerica Park. The Giants won this game 2-0, on their way to a four-game sweep and San Francisco’s second title in three seasons. This offered Tigers button-down has the Olde English “D” sewn on the left chest in navy tackle twill. “FIELDER” and his number “28” are sewn on the back of the jersey in navy tackle twill. A 2012 World Series patch is sewn on the right sleeve. A swatch reading “Success” is sewn on the upper placket. A Majestic tag and a “28 58 ’12 834” swatch are sewn on the front left tail. Fielder has signed the “8” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker. He inscribed “2012 World Series Game Used” on the “2” digit. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 351554).
The second item in this lot is a navy Tigers size “8” batting helmet worn by Fielder during Game 3 of the 2012 Fall Classic. The helmet is navy, with a flap over the right ear and a white Olde English “D” logo applied to the front. His number “28” and a World Series logo are applied to the back of the helmet. Fielder has signed the brim of the helmet in silver marker, inscribing “Game Used 2012 World Series” in addition to his signature. This helmet comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 350444).
The final item in this lot is an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball hit by Fielder for a home run in 2013, Fielder’s final season with the Tigers. Fielder’s home run came in the sixth inning of the Tigers 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park. Fielder’s three run homer off Mike Pelfrey turned the Tigers 3-1 deficit into their eventual winning margin of 4-3. It was Fielder’s sixth homer of the season and the 266th of his career. Fielder has signed the sweet spot of this baseball in blue pen, inscribing “Career HR #266 4-29-13” below his signature. This baseball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 401018).
