Offered is a lot of four game-used Cincinnati Reds caps, including signed caps from former Reds second baseman Bret Boone and Jose Rijo. The first hat in this lot was worn by former shortstop Dave Concepcion during the 1977-82 seasons. This New Era Pro Model cap is all red and has the Reds’ wishbone “C” logo embroidered in white on the front. Concepcion’s number “13” is handwritten in black marker on the inside crown. There is another number “7” handwritten in black marker on the gray underside of the brim. This hat displays heavy wear and comes with a LOA from MEARS for the game use.

The next hat is from former Reds righthanded pitcher, Rijo, has signed his name in black marker across the red brim of his white with red pinstripes Cincinnati cap, with a red “C” embroidered on the front. “Rijo” is written in block letters in black marker on the sweatband, and the number “27” is written in black marker on the underside of the brim. Rijo spent the majority of his career with the Cincinnati Reds (1988–1995 and 2001–2002). The most notable success of Rijo's career came as a member of the Reds, where each year as a starting pitcher from 1988−1993, he posted an ERA below 3.00. He won a World Series title in 1990 and was named the World Series MVP. In 1993, he was the National League leader in strikeouts and Wins Above Replacement (WAR) at 10.6. He was named to the All-Star Game in 1994.  Rijo’s signature comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (H39801).

The lot also includes a red and white pinstriped Cincinnati Reds cap with red brim, game used and signed on the underside by former Reds infielder Bret Boone in black marker. There is a LOA from Brett Boone for the game use and Boone’s signature comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (H39802).  The final hat in this lot includes a military appreciation day Cincinnati Reds cap worn by Scooter Gennett. The black cap has a camouflage pattern with a black and dark green “C” embroidered on the front, a dark green button on top, and five green stars on the right side of the cap.  The brim of the hat is dark green. The left side of the cap has the New Era logo embroidered in dark green, while a dark green “MLB” logo embroidered on the back of the cap.  The All-Star second baseman joined the Reds at the beginning of the 2017 season, and on June 6, 2017, he became the 17th player in MLB history (and first in Reds history) to hit four home runs in a single game.
