Offered is a lot of five Major League Baseball “Old Timers” game-used caps, including three signed baseball caps. The first baseball cap in this lot is a Seattle Mariners game-used cap signed by Harold Reynolds.  Reynolds has signed his name in black marker on the gray underside of the brim. The cap is blue with a gold “S” embroidered on the front. He was an All-Star in 1987 and 1988, led the American League in stolen bases with 60 in 1987, in triples with 11 in 1988, and in at-bats with 642 in 1990. He was the only player other than Rickey Henderson to lead the American League in stolen bases during any season in the 1980s. The signature on this baseball cap comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (H39800).

The second baseball cap in this lot is a game-used Minnesota Twins cap signed by Tony Oliva.  He has inscribed “Best Wishes, Tony Oliva” in blue pen under the cap’s brim. The navy-blue cap has the Twins’ “TC” logo embroidered on the front in white (“T)” and red (“C”). Oliva, a right fielder and DH, played his entire 15-year MLB career for the Minnesota Twins from 1962 to 1976. Oliva was the 1964 American League Rookie of the Year, an AL batting champion during three seasons, an AL hit leader five seasons, and a Gold Glove winner one season. The signature on this baseball cap comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (H39799).

The third baseball cap in this lot is a game-used St. Louis Cardinals cap signed by Willie McGee. He has signed his name in black marker across the top of the brim of the cap. McGee won two batting titles and was named MLB's 1985 National League MVP. McGee primarily played center and right field, winning three Gold Glove Awards for defensive excellence. McGee spent the majority of his 18-year career playing for the St. Louis Cardinals, helping the Cardinals win the 1982 World Series with his outstanding performance in Game 3 of that series. A four-time All-Star, McGee accumulated 2,254 hits during his career. The signature on this baseball cap comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (H39798).

The fourth baseball cap in this lot is game-used Gene Tenace Oakland Athletics cap. The size 6 7/8 green cap with yellow brim and button has the “A’s” logo embroidered in white on the front. There are stains on the yellow brim and a small tear in the front along one of the seams.  There is an inscription in black marker on the underside of the brim, “#18”, indicated this cap was worn by Tenace while he was with Oakland (1969-1976). Tenace was one of the top catchers of his era and won the 1972 World Series Most Valuable Player Award after he went 8 for 23 in the Series, with 4 home runs and 9 RBI.  He was a key member of the A’s teams that won three straight World Series titles from 1972-74, and added a fourth title as the back-up catcher for the 1982 St. Louis Cardinals.

The fifth baseball cap in this lot is a game-used Dusty Baker San Francisco Giants cap.  The black cap has the Giants “SF” logo embroidered in orange on the front. There is a black-ink stamp on the sweatband “Purchased From San Francisco Giants” and the number “12” inscribed in black marker under the brim, indicating this cap was worn by Baker during the 1984 season. Baker had a 19-year career as a hard-hitting outfielder, primarily with the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers. He helped the Dodgers to pennants in 1977 and 1978 and to the World Series championship in 1981. In the 1984 season, his only season as a Giant, Baker appeared in 100 games, compiling a .292 batting average with seven doubles, two triples, three home runs and 32 RBI.
