Offered is a lot of five multi-signed and single-signed bats from the collection of Jackie Autry, the widow of late Los Angeles/California/Anaheim Angels owner Gene Autry. Jackie Autry is the former Honorary American League President (2000 to 2015). Autry is the only woman to ever serve on the Major League Baseball Executive Council, on its Oversight Committee, and as a member of the MLB board of directors. The first item in this lot is a Rod Carew signature and inscription on a Louisville Slugger C243 Rod Carew California Angels model bat. The Hall of Fame infielder has signed his name in black marker on the barrel and inscribed “HOF 7/21/91” below his signature. The second item in this lot is a Stan Musial signature and inscription on a limited-edition Stan Musial Hall of Fame commemorative Louisville Slugger bat. Musial has inscribed “To Jackie Your Friend Stan Musial” on the barrel in black marker. The bat is engraved on the barrel “Batting Champion 1943 - .357 1946 - .365 1948 - .376 1950 - .346 1951 - .355 1952 - .336 – 1957 - .351 National League St. Louis Cardinals 1941-1963 Hall of Fame 1969 Limited Edition 2748 of 3630”. The third item in this lot is a multi-signed California Angels Louisville Slugger with 35 signatures in black marker including Damian Easley, Gary DiSarcina, Mark Hoffman, Joe Foley and Rex Hudler, among others. The fourth item in this lot is a brown wood Hall of Fame Induction commemorative Louisville Slugger baseball bat, inscribed with the reproduced signatures of over 50 Hall of Famers in gold, and the six “new” inductees of August 12, 1984 – “Pee Wee” Reese, Don Drysdale, Rick Ferrell, Luis Aparicio and Harmon Killebrew – in green. The Hall of Fame logo is in gold in the center of the barrel. The fifth item in this lot is a brown wood Hall of Fame Induction commemorative Louisville Slugger baseball bat with the reproduced signatures of over 50 Hall of Famers engraved in gold on the barrel. The Hall of Fame logo is at the center, with the “Hall of Fame Induction July 28, 2002” engraved in gold over a reproduction of Ozzie Smith’s signature. This lot comes with a LOA from Jackie Autry and this entire lot comes with a JSA Auction Letter.
