Offered is a replica Lou Gehrig store display counter card for Ken-Wel Brand Lou Gehrig Model baseball fielder’s gloves. The 10½ x 13-inch cardboard retail counter display card has a color illustration of a fielder’s glove in the center with an illustration of a runner going to first and a fielder catching the ball tagging the bag before the runner reaches the base, over the logo “Ken-Wel Brand” at the lower center. The bottom left corner features the caption “Famous Stars Model with the new “Zip” feature Ken-Wel Sporting Goods Co. Inc.”, and the caption “The Glove Big Leaguers Use Gloversville, N.Y.” at the bottom right. The placard is mounted beneath a 11 x 14½-inch clear plastic display on a 14 x 16-inch brown wood plaque. The display also includes a small newspaper clipping in the lower left under the clear plastic with a photo and description of the counter card.
