Offered here is an incredible early 20th century fielder’s glove that has been signed by New York Yankees legend, The Iron Horse Lou Gehrig. The glove for the left hand measures approximately 11 inches long and displays heavy use. The outer wrist strap is loose on the right side and has printed in black “BILL GAHAGAN”. Gehrig’s signature can be found on the outer top edge as he signed his name in black pen with the inscription “Best Wishes Billy”. The glove looks more like a catcher’s mitt with the heavy padding surrounding the outer fingers and thumb. The webbing has leather laces and a single leather pad. A great vintage fielder’s glove signed by one of the best players in baseball history. This signed glove comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AE02340).
