Hall of Fame catcher Mickey Cochrane, was a member of Connie Mack’s great Philadelphia Athletics from 1925-1933, making three consecutive World Series appearances from 1929-1931 and played for the two-time American League champion Detroit Tigers in 1934 and 1935 winning the World Series in the latter year.
Offered is this 1952-1969 era baseball signed by Mickey Cochrane. Cochrane’s signature is signed on the lower sweet spot of this Official National League Warren Giles baseball. Above his signature on the sweet spot, Cochrane inscribed “To Jim Taylor Best Wishes”. Cochrane also added in blue pen a lengthy inscription on the north panel that reads “Hall of Famer”, “Years in Majors 1925 to 1935”, “Total Games 1482”, “Lifetime Batting Avg 320” and “World Series 1929-30-31 34 and 35”. The baseball is in excellent condition, only displaying minimal toning. The stampings on the ball are still bold and the autograph and inscriptions are bold as well. This is a tremendous signed baseball from an early Hall of Famer and it comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
