Presented here is a copy of the 1948 Commerce High School yearbook featuring Mickey Mantle during his junior year and signed by the Hall of Famer. The yearbook is for the Commerce High School located in Commerce, Oklahoma, and features the young Mantle on page 7 of the yearbook with his signature wry smile. The “Commerce Comet” signed his name above his image in blue ink. Mantle was just a few years shy of his MLB debut for the New York Yankees and would have a storied career that would see “The Mick” earn 7 World Series titles, 3 AL MVP Awards, the coveted Triple Crown in 1956, and lead the AL in home runs 4 times. The yearbook is blue and features an image of a tiger on the cover. “1948” and “BENGAL TALES” are imprinted on the cover.
