Mickey Mantle joined the New York Yankees at age 19, playing his first game in 1951 and his last game with in 1968.  He hit 536 home runs and was named the American League's Most Valuable Player three times (1956, 1957, 1962). Mantle was one of the best players and sluggers of the Yankees dynasty in the 1950s and early 1960s and is regarded by many as the greatest switch hitter in baseball history. Mantle was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974 and was elected to the Major League Baseball All-Century Team in 1999.

Presented is a Mickey Mantle signature and inscription on a replica Yankees home jersey. The Hall of Famer has signed his name in blue marker on the front of the white with blue pinstripes jersey, below the navy-blue interlocking “NY” logo patch on the left chest. Mantle has inscribed “No. 7” below his signature. The back of the Mitchell & Ness/Cooperstown Collection replica jersey has Mantle’s number, “7” embroidered in navy-blue felt. The left sleeve has a red, white, blue, brown and yellow patch bearing the legend “American League 1901 1951 Golden Anniversary” with two crossed bats and a ball. Mantle’s uniform number “7” was retired by the New York Yankees on June 8, 1969. This item comes with a full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity (E67546).
