“No matter the success that he got, the kid just comes and plays” said Los Angeles Angels designated hitter Albert Pujols of his teammate Mike Trout. Trout, the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year, is the consensus best player of his generation, and has a career batting average of .304 with 1,380 hits, 302 home runs, 798 RBI, and 201 stolen bases. Trout has earned eight All-Star Game selections, was named the AL MVP three times, and earned eight Silver Slugger Awards over his 10-year career with the Angels.
Presented here are four full tickets from Trout’s first, 100th, 200th, and 300th home run games and are signed by the centerfield phenom. The first presented ticket is from the Angels 9-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards in Baltimore on July 24, 2011. Trout had one home run for three RBI during five at-bats during the victory. The 6 ½ x 2-inch ticket features an image of Baltimore Orioles infielder Adam Jones with the Baltimore Orioles logo across the front of his image. The ticket is labeled “LOS ANGELES ANGELS OF ANAHEIM Sunday, July 24, 2011 1:35 PM” on the midsection of the ticket in black. The seating section, row, seat, and price of the ticket are all located on the bottom portion of the ticket above a bar code. The bottom of the ticket is labeled “SECTION 18 ROW 5 SEAT 11 PRICE $42” in black lettering on a white background. The reverse side of the ticket features a ticket disclaimer and a coupon for Modell’s Sporting Goods. Trout signed and inscribed “HR #1” over the image of Jones with a blue marker. The signature is bold and the ticket comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (52616743) and is rated Authentic/Auto 10 and comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (VS269915).
The second item in this lot is a 2 x 5 ½ -inch signed ticket from the Angels 6-3 win over the Houston Astros on April 17, 2015 at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. Trout became the youngest player in MLB history to reach 100 home runs when he knocked two out of the park during the Angels win. Trout also became the youngest player in MLB history to achieve both 100 home runs and 100 stolen bases. The ticket features an image of Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel that is labeled “MORE THAN JUST A GAME” with the Houston Astros logo on the right side of the ticket. A Minute Maid logo rests between “ASTROS ANGELS” below the image of Keuchel. The account information, ticket section, row, seat, and price are located on the midsection of the ticket with the information obscured by Trout’s signature. A barcode is located on the bottom of the ticket above “HOUSTON ASTROS.” “GAME #7 FRI., APRIL 17, 2015” rests below the barcode. “SECTION 131 ROW 4 SEAT 1 LEVEL FIELD BOX 1 PRICE $50.00” appears at the bottom of the ticket. The reverse side of the ticket features a ticket disclaimer and advertisements for several restaurants located in downtown Houston. Trout signed and inscribed “HR #100” on the image of Keuchel and on the seating information with a blue marker. The signature is bold and the ticket comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (52616744). The ticket also has an MLB Authenticated hologram (VS269944).
The third item is a 2 x 5 ½ -inch ticket from the Angels 6-5 come-from-behind victory over the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California on September 29, 2017. The Angels overcame three home runs by the Mariners and surged past Seattle on a pinch-hit double by Luis Valbeuna that scored two runners to give the Angels the win. Trout homered twice during the game and in the process became the fifth player in MLB history to achieve 1,000 hits and 200 home runs by the age of 25. The presented ticket features an image of Trout, with “SECTION V427 ROW E SEAT 17 $20.00 PRICE” information labeled at the top. The Angels and Mariners logos appear across Trout’s image on the bottom. The date and location of the game “ANGEL STADIUM FRI SEPT 29, 2017 7:07 PM” is labeled in black on the bottom midsection of the ticket in black. The seating information appears again on the bottom of the ticket just above a barcode and the game number “79” appears in black on the bottom of the ticket. The reverse side of the ticket features a coupon for Jersey Mike’s Subs and the ticket disclaimer, Warning, and Rain Check information. Trout signed and inscribed “HR #200” across his image on the front of the ticket with a blue marker. The signature is bold and the ticket comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (VS269945) and comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (52616745) and is rated Authentic/Auto 10.
The fourth item is a 2 x5 ½ -inch full-ticket from the Angels 10-9 victory over the Kansas City Royals during the first game of a double-header where Mike Trout hit the 300th home run of his career, becoming the Angels all-time home run leader. “TROUT” is labeled in red above colored and black and white images of Trout. “SEC:129 ROW:P SEAT:2 PRICE:5 58.00” is labeled on the midsection of the ticket below the images of Trout. “SATURDAY 09/05/20” is labeled on the midsection of the ticket next to a Kansas City Royals logo. “ANGELS STADIUM” appears on the midsection of the ticket. The bottom of the ticket features “GAME 71” and the Angels “A” logo “vs KANSAS CITY ROYALS” with the seating and price information located below and above a barcode. The reverse side of the ticket features a warning and revocable license disclaimer with the bottom portion featuring an ad for MLB’s “BALLPARK” app. Trout signed and inscribed “HR #300” across his image and seating information on the front of the ticket with a blue marker. The signature is bold and the ticket comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (84290037) and is rated GEM MT. 10. The signed and encapsulated ticket comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (VS269950).
