This base was used in the 1st – 4th innings as second base in the game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field on October 2, 2012. This was the base stolen by Angels’ Mike Trout to establish a new rookie stolen base standard for MLB during the Angels’ 6 – 1 loss. Trout has boldly signed in blue Sharpie across the base “Michael Nelson Trout” and inscribed “49th Stolen Base/ New Rookie Record 30/49/2012 AL ROY.” The signature and inscription grade “9” – “10.” The white base shows heavy evidence of game use with clay stains across the top. The Mariners’ 35th-Anniversary logo is affixed to each of the four sides. An MLB authentication (#209877EK) accompanies this item.
