Presented here are training trunks which were worn by Muhammad Ali at his training center in Deer Lake, Pennsylvania during 1972 ranging between six fights that year including a rematch with over-matched Floyd Patterson. These trunks are white satin with black trim on the waistband and on each leg. On the center waistband there is a manufacturer's label for Everlast. The trunks have some fading from age with very minor spotting. The trunks came from long time Ali corner-man Wali Muhammad AKA Walter Youngblood. These training trunks also bare the word “ALI” on the outside waistband in black felt tip marker. Directly from Ali’s heyday, these training trunks are exceedingly rare and desirable with Wali Muhammad letters of provenance. There is also a LOA from noted boxing expert Craig Hamilton.
