Presented here is a boxing ring bell signed by famed boxer Muhammad Ali. Ali’s career took him from the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy where he won the light heavyweight Gold Medal. Ali would later turn pro, change his name from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali, and win the heavyweight title from the feared Sonny Liston in 1964. His defense of the title saw Ali knock out Liston in the first round, and Ali would go on to fight in some of boxing’s most highly publicized heavyweight title fights, including “The Rumble in the Jungle” and the “Thrilla in Manilla” against feared heavyweights Joe Frazier and George Foreman which were some of the most highly anticipated and viewed boxing matches in history. Ali retired in 1981 with a record of 56 wins, 5 losses, and 37 wins by knockout in over 61 professional fights. The presented boxing ring bell is black with brass hammer mechanism rests upon a 14 x 12-inch piece of wood. Ali signed the bell with a gold metallic paint pen. The signature is bold and features no bleeding and the bell features numerous marks from being struck. The boxing ring bell signed by “The Greatest” Muhammad Ali comes with an LOA from JSA (YO4362).
