Presented here is one of the premier New York Yankees collectibles ever offered. Famed artist Steve Wolf has meticulously handcrafted this large replica of the new Yankee Stadium. The stadium was designed to honor not only it’s first season, but also the 2009 World Series title celebrated on that field after the Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in six games to win the franchise’s 27th title. This model took two years to build and Wolf has only built a handful of models. This 2009 Yankee Stadium model is superior to the one on display at Yankee Stadium in their museum as this offered model has working lights and individual seats, unlike the current one housed in the museum.

Wolf used the official HOK Architects New Yankee Stadium Blueprints to recreate this masterclass of craftsmanship and artistry. No detail was spared as there are five stadium levels with a hand sculpted exterior “Yankee Frieze” and approximately 50,287 custom designed and handcrafted stadium seats. In addition, there are custom Yankee Stadium blue acrylic lettering for roof and gate signs and World Series logos embedded into the custom designed field surface. Extensive graphic work was done throughout the interior and exterior to replicate the exact advertisements and banners that were used in the real Yankee Stadium from the 2009 World Series winning season. The stadium is adorned with 2009 World Series flags, team flags and player banners.

This model sits on a custom 50 ½ x 48 x 30-inch wood table that has been painted white with the famed Yankee Stadium façade designed in. For added protection, there is a 46 x 47 ½ x 11-inch thick glass covering. There are 860 LEDs incorporated into the design of this piece with 550 LED’s used to simulate Yankee Stadium roof rim lighting and 310 LED’s used in different applications throughout scoreboards and interior replicas. Some of these features include left, center and right field advertisements and the Sony Vision Board. LED’s light up the Great Hall with the see-thru glass roof top. One of the roof advertisement LED’s reads “George, this one’s for you” and “2009 World Series Champions”. This model has a special power supply with several dc power supplies are located underneath. These power supplies run the LED lights. The artist set the voltage to these power supplies, which have been secured in place to not be switched as if they get changed, it could blow out or destroy the LED lights. If the winning bidder so chooses, Steve Wolf is available to be hired (at the winning bidder’s cost) to make any changes on the outfield walls or scoreboard, or to build a larger table. This impressive lot comes with a LOA from the artist Steve Wolf. Please note that due to the enormous size and weight and fragility of this item, special shipping arrangements will have to be made and they will be subtantially higher than normal.
