Rusty Staub has long been a favorite of New York Mets fans, playing with the team from 1972-1975 and then again from 1981-1985. He retired at the end of the 1985 season after posting a .400 on-base percentage over 54 games at the age of 41. Staub finished his Major League career with 1,466 career RBI. Presented here is a 2015 New York Mets National League Championship Ring personally owned by Staub. The Mets won the NL East during the regular season and swept the Chicago Cubs in the NLCS before ultimately falling to the Kansas City Royals in the World Series. Jacob deGrom (14-8 record, 2.54 ERA) and Matt Harvey (13-8, 2.71) anchored the pitching staff. Daniel Murphy had a record-setting postseason and was named NLCS Most Valuable Player after batting .529 with an insane 1.294 slugging percentage.

     This stunning Jostens 10K ring proudly displays the Mets “NY” logo, made up of sapphires, which sits on a baseball field design. “NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS” reads across the top and bottom of the ring face, which sparkles with clusters of beautiful round diamonds. Staub’s name appears at the top of one side of the ring, above relief images of the New York skyline and Brooklyn Bridge. The Mets script logo runs through the middle; below is an image of a baseball and crossing bats. Logos for both MLB (in enamel) and the NLCS appear on the other side of the band. “NEW YORK” is displayed above the logos with the year 2015 at the bottom. The inside of the band bears the Jostens name and 10K mark, while also listing Mets pennant-winning years 2015, 2000, 1986, 1973 and 1969. Also appearing inside the band are the words “NEW YORK” atop the NLCS trophy. Included with this ring (approximately 44.9 grams and size 13) is the original presentation box which reads “Mets 2015 N.L. Champions” and a LOA from Rusty Staub.
