Presented here is a concert program signed by legendary entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. Davis, was known for many TV and film appearances, but gained notoriety for being part of the supergroup “The Rat Pack”. Members Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop all appeared together on stage and in various films such as “Ocean’s 11”. The versatile Davis Jr. was a singer, musician, actor, comedian, dancer and master of all things entertainment. Davis, Jr. became one of the first African Americans to appear on television and was one of entertainment’s most beloved personalities. This presented undated concert program features an energetic Davis on the cover, clad in an eye-catching striped jumpsuit. “SAMMY” and “DAVIS JR.” appear labeled in purple on the cover. The inside of the program features articles and photos covering Davis’ illustrious career that took him from the stages of vaudeville to the pinnacle of Hollywood’s elite. Davis Jr. signed and inscribed “My Best” to a “Barbara (sic)” with a blue marker across the cover of the concert program. The signature and inscription are bold, and the program itself features numerous creases emanating from the spine, some elements of edging and cornering, and toning of the white pages. A unique specimen that honors one of America’s most talented entertainers, the item comes with an LOA from JSA (Z00226) for the signature.
