Tiger Woods won his first major tournament at the Masters in 1997, giving the golfing world a brand new and exciting young superstar. Throughout the years that followed, Woods claimed a total of four Masters’ titles, including back-to-back green jackets in 2001 and 2002. Woods built his career off the success of his first Masters’ victory, winning 14 Major tournaments between 1997 and 2008.
Woods has experienced a resurgence in 2018, buoyed by several strong finishes in major tournaments. Early in the year, Woods put on a clinic at Augusta National that included a spectacular eagle on the 15th hole, sending shockwaves of fear through Tigers anxious competitors. At the PGA Championship to close out the season, Woods engineered one of the greatest weekends of his career to shoot 14-under at Bellerive and finish in second place, just behind the young gunner Brooks Koepka in the final standings. At 42 and with his health problems in the rearview mirror, Woods is just getting started in the second act of his already legendary career.
This Masters-used pin flag is bright yellow, with the outline of the continental United States of America printed on the center of the flag. A flag pole, topped by a red flag, emerges from the location of Augusta, Georgia in the center of the flag. Woods has signed this flag in black marker, placing his signature in the area where the Rocky Mountains would be. This flag comes with a COA from Upper Deck for Woods’ signature (SHO43933) and a LOA from Green Jacket Auctions for the use of this flag.
