Arthur Miller’s fantastic series “A Baseball Card That Never Was” continues with this throwback entrant featuring the smallest player to ever appear in a Major League Baseball game, Eddie Gaedel. This artwork is a mixed media on canvas. Specifically, the mixed media is acrylic enamel house paint, oil pastels and colored pencils and sealed with varnish. This original artwork imagines what an Eddie Gaedel entry in the iconic 1948 Leaf set would look like. Gaedel is portrayed in his crisp white St. Louis Browns uniform with his batting stance loaded. A navy bar is located near the bottom of the artwork with “Eddie Gaedel” painted inside in white text. Miller’s signature is located on the upper right corner of this artwork. This item measures 30 x 25 inches and is a tremendous memento for any baseball fan.
