Arthur Miller’s unique series “A Baseball Card That Never Was” runs back the years with this entry displaying the 2001 American League MVP Ichiro Suzuki. This artwork is a mixed media on canvas. Specifically, the mixed media is acrylic enamel house paint, oil pastels and colored pencils and sealed with varnish. This original artwork imagines what an Ichiro entry in the legendary 1948 Leaf set would look like. Ichiro is portrayed in the follow-through of his swing wearing a Seattle Mariners home uniform. A yellow bar is located near the bottom of the artwork with “Ichiro Suzuki” painted inside in navy text. The back of this artwork has “A Baseball Card That Never Was: Ichiro Suzuki (1948 Leaf)”, “2018”, and Miller’s signature written in black. Miller’s signature is also located on the upper right corner of this artwork. This item measures 30 x 24 inches and is a one-of-a-kind display piece for any baseball fan.
