Arthur Miller’s whimsical series “A Baseball Card That Never Was” revisits the Yankees modern golden age with this depiction of the unanimous Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera. This artwork is a mixed media on canvas. Specifically, the mixed media is acrylic enamel house paint, oil pastels and colored pencils and sealed with varnish. It shows Rivera how he may have appeared on a 1951 Bowman trading card, dressed in his Yankee pinstripes and ready to paint the inside corner with a devastating cutter. Miller has signed this canvas artwork on the front and back, while “A Baseball Card That Never Was: Mariano Rivera (1951 Bowman)” and “2019” are written on the back. This artwork measures 26 x 40 inches and is a terrific display piece for any Yankee fan!
