On September 16, 2014 Jose Altuve moved past Craig Biggio as the franchise’s all-time single-season hit leader with his 211th hit of the season, finishing with a new team record, and A.L. leading 225. Altuve is still 2,430 hits behind Biggio on the Houston Astros all-time leader board but he’s off to a great start with 630 hits in just three-and-a-half seasons. Altuve wore this MLB Authentic (HZ 372021)white mesh, button-down Astros home jersey during innings seven through nine of the Astros game against the Cleveland Indians on the day he passed Biggio. Astros and Altuve’s number 27 are stitched in navy and orange tackle twill across the front with MLB Authentic/Majestic size-44 manufacturer’s label sticker is on the front left tail with an MLB Authentic/Majestic strip tag sticker “44 S8 ‘14” just below and Cool Base label at the seam. Houston Astros logo patch is on the left sleeve with orange piping ringing the sleeves and running along the collar and button lines. Altuve’s name and number 27 are stitched in navy blue and orange tackle twill on the back with a white and orange MLB logo on the back of the collar. Altuve signed the number 7 in bright silver sharpie with a “27” inscription and added “Game Used 2014” “211 Hits” and “Passing Biggio” inscriptions on the number 2.
