Adam Sandler’s early career was defined by over-the-top comedic performances, but he showed a much more reserved comedic approach in 1998’s “The Wedding Singer”. Playing Robbie Hart, an aspiring rock star turned wedding singer, Sandler showed a warmth and vulnerability that audiences never knew he had. This costume, worn by Robbie Hart and referred to as the Hero Suit, includes a sky-blue silk sports coat with black piping around lapels and down to lower hem, 1 black button at midriff and 3 black buttons on each sleeve. Tag on left sleeve reads “The Wedding Singer” / Adam Sandler as Robbie Hart / Ch1 Blue Silk Sports Coat / Costume Record #037775. Also included are a pair of black Levi 501 jeans, 38X34, and a black silk necktie with crimson lining on the back. Costume is in very good condition, having been carefully archived by New Line and then Warner Bros. since the end of production in 1998.
