Perhaps the greatest hitter of the game’s current era, Miguel Cabrera displayed the promise of his unlimited potential hitting 12 home runs with 21 doubles and 62 RBI with a .268 batting average in 87 games with the Florida Marlins in 2003. Cabrera was a 20-year old rookie with the Florida Marlins when he wore this black jersey. Cabrera and the Marlins would upset the favored New York Yankees in six games to win the 2003 World Series.

Offered is the alternate black Russell Athletic Florida Marlins button-down jersey worn by Cabrera during the 2003 regular season and made ready for the 2003 World Series. The Marlins wore black jersey for five of the six games in the World Series and this jersey features “MARLINS” across the chest with a paraph in silver, black, teal and white tackle twill. The back of the jersey has “CABRERA” and his number “20” below, all sewn on in the same silver, black, teal and white tackle twill. The lower front tail has the “Russell Athletic” manufacturers tag with attached size “50” flag tag. The left should contain the Marlins logo patch, with a silver embroidered Russell Athletic logo, while the right sleeve contains the “2003 World Series 100th Anniversary” logo patch. Cabrera has signed his name in black marker on the middle of the “2” on the back of the jersey and inscribed “W-S” and “GAME USED 03”. The jersey displays light evidence of game use. This is a rare rookie season game worn jersey from one of the game’s best overall players. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, along with LOAs from PSA/DNA (AC02709) and JSA (Z76400) for his signature and inscriptions.
