Game-used bat from Albert Pujols first season with the Angels. The 9-time All-Star started off slow but regained his footing and finished the season with 30 home runs, the 12th consecutive season of doing so. The Marucci AP5-LDM Custom Cut bat is two-toned, but unlike many of Pujols’ Marucci’s, this bat features a black barrel/natural handle instead of the usual configuration of black handle/natural barrel. It shows excellent game use and the pine tar coated handle has been cracked. Ball and stitch marks can be seen on the barrel as are cleat and weighted donut impressions. The date “07/15/12”, length “4” and weight “1.8” and player number “5” are stamped into the knob. Pujols has signed the bat on the barrel in gold ink and added “GAME USED 12”. The autograph has been authenticated by MLB and hologram sticker number EK 323950 is
affixed to the knob. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a GU 9.
