President Joe Biden has dedicated his life to public service. He first heard the call to serve the country when he served as a Senator from the great state of Delaware, representing the First State from 1973 until 2009 when he was nominated Vice President of the United States under President Barack Obama. Biden served eight years as Vice President, and sat out the 2016 Presidential Election to deal with the death of his son, Beau. Biden earned the Democratic nomination for President and successfully defeated incumbent President Donald Trump, recording a record 81 million votes. Biden took “The Presidential Oath of Office” on January 20th, 2021, at the United States Capitol, with the oath being administered by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. This presented 53 x 33-inch American flag was flown over the Capitol during President Biden’s inauguration at the behest of Senator Amy Klobuchar. This embroidered American flag features an embroidered star field, sewn stripes, and brass grommets. The flag is in great condition and is a unique specimen highlighting the patriotism involved with the peaceful transfer of power between administrations. The American flag flown over the Capitol during President Joe Biden’s inauguration comes with an LOA from the United States Congress and signed by Senator Amy Klobuchar.
