Former New York Mets pitcher Tracy Stallard wore this presented New York Mets gray road jersey during the 1964 season. Stallard is most remembered for giving up New York Yankees slugger Roger Maris’ 61st home run, posted a record of 10-20 with an ERA of 3.79 with 118 strikeouts during the season. This presented seven-button gray flannel jersey features blue trim on the front placket and “NEW YORK” across the chest in blue-on-orange tackle twill. The number “36” appears on the chest of the jersey in blue-on-orange tackle twill. A Wilson size “42” manufacturer’s tag appears on the jersey’s left front tail. A circular New York Mets patch is sewn onto the left sleeve. A swatch labeled “36-42-1964-2” is sewn onto the inside collar. The number “36” appears on the back of the jersey in blue-on-orange tackle twill. The jersey displays minor elements of game use and contains faint sweat stains around the collar and shoulders. The game used New York Mets road jersey worn by Tracy Stallard during the 1964 season comes with an LOA from the Lumpe Family and an LOA from noted game used baseball jersey expert William Henderson.
