This time period, which encompassed 20 games, represents the final month of Ripken’s career, and career games 2,982 through 3,001. Ripken collected a pair of homers and 10 RBI in the last month of the season, and totalled 14 homers and 68 RBI on the year. Ripken retired with 431 career homers and 3,184 hits, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
