Recently retired Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw an NFL record 55 touchdowns during the 2013 season in leading the Broncos to a 13-3 record. Manning won his fifth NFL MVP that season and also set the passing record with 5,477 yards and led the Broncos to a league record 606 points. Five of those historic touchdowns came during Week 13 on December 1, 2013 when his Denver team visited Arrowhead Stadium and defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 35-28. Manning also threw for 403 yards by completing 22 of 35 passes with two interceptions. Four of Manning’s touchdowns were to wide receiver Eric Decker that included long passes of 41 and 37 yards. It was the third time in his illustrious career that Manning threw for at least five touchdowns and 400+ passing yards.
