Lot #7: 2012 Mike Trout Rookie Game Used and Signed Old Hickory PHOTO MATCHED Bat - Rookie of the Year (PSA/DNA GU 10 & Anderson LOA)

Description

After being compared to a young Mickey Mantle while still in the minors, Mike Trout stormed into American League in 2012 and ran away with that year’s Rookie of the Year Award. The 20 year-old led the league in stolen bases, on base percentage and runs scored, and was rewarded with a Silver Slugger Award and a trip to the All-Star Game where he went 1-for-1 and stole a base! Not bad for his first full season in the big leagues. While the rookie year items of Trout have become more popular with each passing year, finding a photo matched rookie bat further separates this offering from the rest, making it a tremendous investment opportunity.

Trout's Old Hickory J143M model bat is un-cracked and displays outstanding use. Many ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen on its barrel along with blue ink transfers. Cleat marks and the impression of a weighted batting donut are also visible. The lower handle and knob have been taped in a spiral of adhesive tape to enhance the grip. A heavy coat of Mota Stick is on the lower handle and a lighter coat is on the upper area. The young Angels phenom has signed the barrel in silver marker and added "2012 AL ROY". The bat comes with eight prints of video stills used to photo-match this bat to the games of June 18, 19 and 20, 2012. The bat also comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a perfect GU 10.
