Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this Parade All-America Boys Basketball Team certificate for his outstanding play during the 1963-64 Power Memorial Academy basketball season. Abdul-Jabbar, then a junior at Power, was one of the most highly decorated high school basketball players in history. During his time at Power, the man then known as Lew Alcindor led the Panthers on a 71-game winning streak and to three-straight C.H.S.A.A. titles in New York City.  This 11 x 8.75-inch award is printed with “Parade Publications / Annual All-America / High School Basketball certificate has been signed by the president of Parade Publications. A gold Parade seal is located in the bottom left-hand corner of this certificate. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
