Lot #67: 2017 Mike Trout Game Used & Signed Old Hickory MT27* Model Bat Photo Matched To Home Run #24 (PSA/DNA GU 10 & Anderson Authentics)

Description

Mike Trout followed up his second MVP season with a momentous 2017. During the course of the season, Trout recorded several career milestones - including his 200th career home run, 1,000th career hit and setting the franchise record for walks in consecutive games with 14. Even though injuries kept him to 114 games he still led the team in home runs, stolen bases, walks, batting average and runs. On August 18th, the Angels were at Camden Yards playing the Orioles. In the top of the 5th, Mike Trout came to bat with a runner on first with one out. With the count 3 and 2, Trout pounded a Jeremy Hellickson pitch down the deep left field line and into the stands for a two-run homer. This would be the 24th of his eventual 33 of the 2017 season – and this is the bat he used to hit it.

Trout’s Old Hickory MT27* model bat shows outstanding use and has been photo matched by PSA/DNA to the August 18th, 2017 game where he hit his 24th home run of the season. The 3-time AL MVP's barrel is covered with ball marks and abrasions with white leather ball scuffs, one of which was likely the home run he hit off Hellickson. The upper handle has a coat of pine tar and the lower handle has been taped in a spiral pattern of colorful Lizard Skin to enhance the grip and a custom “TROUT #27” sticker has been affixed. The Angels star has signed the barrel in contrasting silver marker with “HR #24 vs Bal” and “17 G/U.” This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA for the game use, which has been photo matched and graded a perfect GU 10, plus and LOA from Anderson Authentics (3937) for the game use and signature.
