Lot #719: 1997 Bernie Williams Game Used & Signed Rawlings DW20 Model Bat From The Willie Randolph Collection (PSA/DNA GU 9.5, Randolph LOA & Beckett)

Description

New York Yankees centerfielder Bernie Williams used this bat during his first season as an All-Star, 1997. Williams hit .328 that summer, adding 21 homers, 100 RBI, and 15 stolen bases for the 96-66 Yankees. The 1997 Rawlings DW20 model bat shows awesome game use with a slight handle crack. There are many distinctive ball marks on the barrel that include white leather scuffs and ink transfers. There are cleat imprints present and the handle has been coated with pine tar. The knob has been stamped with the model number “DW20” and Bernie has signed the barre in contrasting silver marker. This bat comes from the personal collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany this item. There is also a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18208) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5, plus a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25415) for the signature.
